About SWIPR

SOUTHWEST IDAHO PUG RESCUE (SWIPR) IS DEDICATED TO THE UNCONDITIONAL AID AND RESCUE OF THE PUG DOG BREED AND PUG DOG MIXES.

Shelters are funded and run most frequently by Governments. Rescues are funded through donations and staffed by volunteers. It takes dedicated individuals to give of their time and money to run a successful Rescue Org.

That being said, SWIPR tries to incorporate a community of likeminded people who want to be involved in the care, fostering and medical aid of the pugs and pug mixes. This entails fundraisers to ensure we have money to medically treat and care for dogs surrendered to us. Also needed is a network of people who are willing and able to foster these dogs during their transition to a "forever" home. Because we are a small, fairly young organization, we must rely on memebers to help with all needs of a rescue

We know money is tight for most of us. However, I am sure each can help in some way. By fostering when there's a need, donating goods or services for our yard sales, bake sales and bazaars. We have asked in the past for the saving of aluminum cans to recycle for cash. During the summer months, we all drink a little more soda or beer. Any amount adds to our account which allows us to do more for our "Little Guys".

Last but not least, we try to have meetups of members to share stories, suggestions and ideas and the camaraderie of people with a common goal. These are the things necessary for a viable and successful rescue organization.
